Fr. Ihor Petryk
Subdeacon Tibor Turi

Fr. Ihor was ordained to the Holy Presbyterate on 2003 September 28 at his home parish of Saints Peter and Paul, Scarborough.

With Fr. Ihor is his wife, the Panyi Matka Anna, and son Nicholas, here together with his brother-in-law (far left), and mother-in-law and father-in-law (far right).

Fr. Ihor's first Divine Liturgy was served on 2003 October 05 at St. Elias Church, Brampton, where is presently assigned, and where he has been serving as deacon.

The Pastor of St. Elias, the Archpriest Roman, after explaining the significance of the hand Cross, presents the newly ordained priest, Fr. Ihor, with same.

During the Little Entrance the Gospel is carried in Procession from the Altar to the Sanctuary so that the Faithful may approarch for veneration. With the Gospel representing the Christ, the Little Entrance becomes symbolic of the beginning of the Messiah's entry into the public ministry.

Fr. Ihor's family venerate the Holy Gospel Book

Fr. Ihor chants the Holy Gospel prescribed for that Sunday.

And preaches the homily on same.

"Approach with the Fear of God and with Faith!"

Fr. Ihor communicates the Faithful with the Holy Mysteries.

The Faithful throng to receive Fr. Ihor's blessing at the end of Divine Liturgy.

May God grant to the newly ordained Presbyter Ihor and his family, life, peace, health, salvation, and success in every good endeavour and preserve him among us for many happy and blessed years!

Mnohaya i Blahaya Lita!
