Directions to St. Elias

St. Elias Church

10193 Heritage Road
Brampton, Ontario
Canada
(West 1 street from the corner of Mississauga Road & Highway #7,
then a little north on Heritage Road)

Brampton is a suburb, just northwest of Toronto

We are northwest of Brampton proper, near Highway #7 (just before Georgetown (if coming from Toronto)

1. Take Highway 401 to Mississauga Road.

2. North on Mississauga Road to Highway #7 - it takes about 10 minutes.
You will pass the village of Huttonville
Beware the speed trap, it suddenly becomes 50 k.p.h. there!

3. Turn left on Bovaird (Highway #7, gas station on left & Apple Factory across the Rd.)

4. At the first light (Heritage Rd.) turn right.

We hope that you can one day visit us - and we will give you the Real Tour of our Church, but until then please enjoy this virtual tour of St. Elias and pray with us.

We are located on the outskirts of Toronto (in Brampton).

It is very easy to get to. Whether you coming from Toronto or east or west of Toronto....

Just get on Highway 401 and take the Missisauga Road exit north. Mississauga Road is just a little west of Toronto proper.

Go north for about 7 minutes (being careful to slow down to 50 kph in the hamlet of Huttonville) until you reach the corner of Mississauga Road & Highway 7 (Petrocan Petrol station at south corner and Apple Factory with gigantic fake apple on north corner).

Turn left (west). At the first street [Heritage Rd. (there is a light)] turn right and go north for 30 seconds......et Voila, Us !!! For more details and maps click "Directions".

You can't miss us. We will be on your right (east side of Heritage Road). Just look for the Domes and listen for the sound of the Bells (...the driveway and gate are also clues too, I guess...)

Lots of Parking - on the south side of the Temple.

Our Temple is built according to the ancient canons which prescribe that Christians should pray facing East ("East" being a symbol of Christ Luke 1:79 says that the Christ is the Dayspring (Sunrise) from on high ("Anatole ex ypous" [or in Latin, "ORIENS ex alto"]).

Fyi, from this comes the word "ORIENTation". It's in the Catholic Encyclopedia, if you don't believe me. But I digress. Anyhoo....
