The "Dead Saints" Society

The "Dead Saints" Society is the parish Youth Group's annual activity of presenting a play on the weekend closest to the feast of St. Nicholas (usually 2 performances).

The plays are produced, directed, starred in, written, researched, lightened by, stage designed, set up, gaffed, and "best boy'd", etc. solely and exclusively by the Youth Group themselves (all rights reserved thereunto).

They are creative, instructive, edifying, and A WHOLE LOT OF FUN - both for the players and the audience.

All members, regardless of age, are able to participate in the play - both acting on stage and working back stage. It is a joint venture of both the Senior Youth Group and the Junior Youth Group.

As Shakespeare (England's Shevchenko) said: "The Play's the Thing!"

or as Fr. Roman said (after a particularly graphic presentation on the life of St. Simeon Stylite), "It takes all sorts..."

"Now that we have remembered all the Saints..."
