Dear Parishioners and Friends,

+Father Roman fell asleep in the Lord early in the morning of August 1, 2023. We sang to him for much of the day on Monday, we napped at his side, and he listened to the livestream of Vespers. His passing was very peaceful, surrounded by family.

Father’s burial will take place on Monday, August 7th.  Details of services will follow shortly.

Дорогi парафіяни та друзі,

+о. Роман упокоївся рано вранці 1 серпня 2023 року. Більшу частину дня ми йому співали, дрімали біля нього, а ввечері він слухав пряму трансляцію Вечірні. Його смерть була спокійна і родина була коло него.

Похорон отця відбудеться у понеділок, 7 серпня.  Деталі богослужінь буде повідомлено згодом.

Ми дякуємо вам за всі ваші молитви.

IN MEMORIAM- IN LIEU OF FLOWERS

In lieu of flowers, Father Roman has asked that donations be made in his memory to Saint Elias Church. The money collected will be allocated according to his wishes: to the parish mortgage, the Ukrainian Catholic University, and the formation of priests and care of orphans in Ukraine.

Замість квітів отець Роман попросив складати пожертви в його памʼять на Церкву святого пророка Ілії. Відповідно до його бажання зібрані кошти будуть спрямовані на сплачування парафіяльних довгів за побудову нового храму, на Український Католицький Університет, а також на формацію священників та опіку над сиротами в Україні.
