True Light
A Podcast By Metropolitan Andrey Sheptytsky Institute of Eastern Christian Studies
True Light is the podcast of the Sheptytsky Institute of Eastern Christian Studies in the University of Toronto. It is meant to help Christians deepen their faith by exploring the spiritual treasures of the Churches of the East as a form of adult catechesis. Following the seasonal influence of the liturgical calendar, and using as an informal syllabus the Catechism of the Ukrainian Greco-Catholic Church, we will delve into topics such as prayer, holy mysteries, icons, as well as social justice and morality -- seeking to shed new light on our Faith in the Incarnate Christ!
the Church in Ukraine /current events- two explanations
Two interviews on what is happening with our Church in Ukraine. Both are extremely encouraging.
First interview
Bishop Borys (Gudziak), of Paris, in Ukrainian only- click here
and the second Interview
His Beatitude, Sviatoslav, of Kyiv, in both English and Ukrainian here.
This latter interview is rather lengthy, but well worth your attention
Ukraine has waited over 400 years for this….If nothing else, pray that the matter of unification of Churches in Ukraine will continue to proceed peacefully….
Glory to God!
Fr. Roman
