Why? I want to see more of you in church. I want to visit your homes. To be with your sick + dying. Share a meal with you. Sing out loud! Travel. Hug my children + grandchildren. Read more below... The choice for Pani Iryna and I to get vaccinated was easy. There was no moral reason to decline a jab. Given our ages and my underlying health conditions, reducing our risk of getting seriously ill from Covid-19 (or anything else) means that we will be around you longer. We still have work to do. Your choice to vaccinate should be made with reliable information and if necessary in consultation with your doctor. I feel GREAT and am looking to a beautiful summer.  There are plenty of questions about the vaccines themselves.  Here is a statement from leading Catholic Ethecists.  Рішення для вакцинації з Пані Іриною було легким. Не було моральної причини цього не робити.  Враховуючи наш вік та мої основні стани здоров’я, зменшення ризику серйозно захворіти від Covid-19 (або чогось іншого) означає, що ми будемо поруч із вами довше.. Врешті-рішення про вакцинацію повинно прийматися з достовірною інформацією та з консультацією з лікарем. Я ДУЖЕ ДОБРО і очикую прекрасне літо. Є багато питань щодо самих вакцин. March 20th, 2021 THE FIRST SUNDAY OF GREAT LENT  SUNDAY OF ORTHODOXY     Today with joy we will welcome more faithful inside the church for services (approx. 50pp) for the first time in 4 months.  Please read the guidelines in the bulletin + website. If you haven't been to church in a while please come if you are healthy. Especially for Divine Liturgy, arrive on time because once capacity is reached we cannot admit any more people. Dear Parishioners and Friends, This is week one of Great Lent. There are many services to choose from this week- yes, some are being streamed but if you live in the area we encourage those who can- to come in person. Yes!  You can come to church and you DO NOT need to call the parish office and register. Restrictions have been eased in our region. Our capacity is approximately 50.  You simply have to:     be healthy     not have been travelling in the last 14 days     exposed to anyone with covid-19     wear a mask SERVICES THIS WEEK Today:     5 p.m. - Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts     7 p.m. - Canon of St. Andrew of Crete (part 3) and Compline Tomorrow:     6:30 a.m. - Matins     12 p.m. - First Hour     5 p.m. - Vespers     7 p.m. - Canon of St. Andrew of Crete (part 4) and Compline Friday:       6:30 a.m. - Matins     12 p.m. - First Hour     5 p.m. - Liturgy of the Presanctified Gifts     7 p.m. - Cannon of St. Andrew of Crete with blessing of kolyvo/kutia   SERVICE SCHEDULE for the FIRST WEEK OF LENT (full parish calendar available here)   AN EXCELLENT ON LINE LENTEN MISSION with METROPOLITAN BORYS GUDZIAK This is an excellent Lenten Mission in English over the last three days (in Ukrainian next week) You can listen to the recorded versions on the YouTube Channel:  "Tranquillight Calling" You can skip the intros and go directly to the beginning of the talks (approx 45 min. long) These are well worth your time.
