ATTENTION!
WOULD YOU LIKE TO PARTICIPATE IN PROTODEACON DAVID KENNEDY'S PhD THESIS RESEARCH? Read more below or in the bulletin.
Protodeacon David is conducting research on how the laity experiences the liturgical environment at St. Elias for his Doctor of Ministry thesis at the University of To-ronto. He needs 8 to 12 adult participants. Participants are asked to make three point form journal entries one for Vespers, one for Matins, and one for Divine Liturgy.... A one-hour, one-to-one, interview will also be part of the research. There will be an initial meeting of about 1⁄2 to 3⁄4 of an hour for all participants for an introduction to the project, and questions and answers. All research data will be anonymous andidentified only by a number. In this study there are no “right” or “wrong” answers or observations. Whatever you say about your experiences, thoughts and feelings will be considered valid and true for you. You may also withdraw from the study at any time up to and including the interview. Once the interview has ended you cannot withdraw, but you will be asked just before the end of the interview if you wish to withdraw, and if you wish, you can. You will be helping to give direction to the par-ish’s on-going catechetical formation through your participation. In order to maintain objectivity, Sonia Bien will choose participants. To volunteer please contact Sonia Bien at 905-749-4846 or by email at sdbien@rogers.com
