Dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

“For behold, through the Cross joy has come to all the world.”

Pascha is a feast of great joy! We will experience this joy in many ways: singing “Christ is Risen!” greeting one another, communing together in the Lord, and so forth. Ultimately, this joy comes from our Lord, God, and Saviour Jesus Christ who desires that His joy be in us and that it may be full (cf. John 15:11).

Experiencing that joy to its fullest requires our journeying with Him through this Great and Holy Week, the week that changed the entire world. To be partakers of Christ’s joy, we must be with Him at the Last Supper, in Gethsemane, at Golgotha, and in the tomb.

The services of Great & Holy Week enable us to be with Christ through His Passion. The services of Bright Week greatly multiply this joy and give us a foretaste of the never-ending joy of the Kingdom of Heaven.

Join your parish family here at St. Elias Church in Brampton this Great & Holy Week, Pascha, and Bright Week. Come experience the joy of our Lord’s Passion, Crucifixion, Burial, and Resurrection.

In Christ,

Fr. Toma Hrywna- Pastor
