UKRAINE RELIEF UPDATE

Among other things...

Last week, the items collected in the last campaign with #uhelpukraine (mainly baby food, diapers etc.) were wrapped on pallets and taken away for shipping by sea. This shipment should be in Ukraine in 2 to 3 weeks. Thank you to all who contributed goods as well as cash to help cover shipping expenses. Special thanks to Fr. Laborio and St. Mary’s RC Parish (Brampton) for their ongoing and most generous support of our efforts with both material help and prayers!

Last Sunday, St.. Elias parishioners raised (in one day!) the $4000.00 needed to purchase a van for the village of Borodyanka, which is needed to transport humanitarian aid as well as supplies for building shelters. Thank you, donors and Fr. Roman for matching the collected funds with his own donation. It's not too late to donate more... call the parish office for details.

Watch for updates next week, on new campaigns and our new arrivals from Ukraine now living in Brampton as well as Georgetown and Caledon.
