CHRIST IS AMONG US!

My dear brothers and sisters in Christ,

Coming soon! From September 10-14 (just 2 weeks away) our parish will welcome the 100+ participants of SingCon 2026, the sixth annual intercontinental Ukrainian Greco-Catholic Church Singing Conference. It will be a blessed weekend of liturgical services, singing workshops, fellowship, and much more. Along with some familiar faces and friends, there will be many participants for whom visiting our parish has been on their bucket list. This is a real honour for us.

The public schedule is attached. Please take a look as times of our regular services may be affected. You are welcome to join/attend any of these extra liturgical services along with the public lecture on Saturday evening after Vespers. Don't forget to come to our regular services as well. You will not regret it. Other activities and events are reserved for the registered participants of SingCon.

We will need your help! See the details below on how you can help in ways both big and small.

Finally - the idea of SingCon was borne out of a desire for liturgical and spiritual renewal in our Ukrainian Greco-Catholic Church through the traditional liturgical life of the Byzantine Rite. Our parish was founded on and continues to live with these same principles.

May we warmly welcome the participants and make them feel at home with generous hospitality, heartfelt prayer, and deep love for Christ.

ХРИСТОС ПОСЕРЕД НАС!

Мої дорогі брати та сестри у Христі,

Час скоро настане! 10 - 14 вересня (за 2 тижні) наша парафія вітатиме понад 100 учасників SingCon 2026, міжконтинентальна шоста щорічна Конференція Українського Греко-Католицького церковного співу. Це будуть благословенні дні, насичені літургійними відправами, семінари співу, товариства, і багато іншого. В нас будуть добре знані, старі друзі разом з учасниками які роками бажали приїхати до нашої парафії. Це велика честь для всіх нас.

Публічний розклад додається нижче. Ознайомтеся з ним, оскільки розклад наших звичайних літургійних відправ може бути змінений. Ласкаво вас просимо долучитися до будь-яких відправ а так само до публічної лекції у собуту вечір після Вечірнi. Також, не забудьте прийти на нашій звичайні богослужіння. Усі інші заходи зарезервовані для зареєстрованих учасників SingCon.

Нам потрібно вашої допомоги! Дивіться нижче деталі про те, як можете допомогти, як великими, так і малими способами.

Накінець - Ідея SingCon виникла з бажання за літургійне та духовне відновлення у наші Українські Греко-Католицькі Церкві через традиційне літургійне життя Візантійського обряду. Наша парафія заснованна на таких принципах і надалі ними живе.

З теплістю привитаймо учасників щоб вони відчувалися як вдома з щедрою гостинністю, щирою молитвою, та глибокою любовю для Христа.

HOW YOU CAN HELP | ПОТРІБНА ВАША ДОПОМОГА

With 100+ participants at our parish we need YOUR HELP with two things: billeting and meals.

BILLETING/ACCOMODATIONS
There are a small number of participants who have asked to be billeted as it is beyond their means to pay for their travel, registration fee, and accommodation. If you are able to billet someone in your home, please email Fr. Tom (pastor@saintelias.com) by Sunday.

MEALS
We have a team of parishioners who will be co-ordinating the meals (lunch, dinner, and snacks) but we need your help to set-up, serve, and clean-up after every meal. There are sign-up sheets in the Church Hall; if you cannot sign-up in person, please email Fr. Tom (pastor@saintelias.com) with the days and meals you can help with. We need 8 helpers per meal.

SET UP/SERVING /CLEANUP

Thursday, September 10 - 5:30pm until 8:30pm
Friday, September 11 - 11:00am until 2:00pm and 5:00pm until 8:00pm
Saturday, September 12 - 11:30am until 1:30pm and 5:00pm until 8:00pm
Sunday, September 13 - 12:00pm until 3:00pm and 4:00pm until 7:00pm
Monday, September 14 - 12:00pm until 3:00pm

DESSERTS

We could also use your help with dessert. There is another sign-up sheet for parishioners to sign-up to provide dessert for the meals (with the exception of Sunday lunch, to which everyone will contribute, and Monday, since it is a fast day). We have a number of participants who are celiac, lactose intolerant, or have a nut allergy, so if you are providing a dessert that fits any of these three criteria, please clearly label it as such. If you cannot make it to Church to sign your name and what dessert you can provide on the sheet, as with the meal help sign-up, please email Fr. Tom (pastor@saintelias.com).

ATTENTION | УВАГА

Great Vespers on Saturday September 12 is at 6pm (not our usual 7pm).
Lunch on Sunday, September 13 after Liturgy - you are welcome to stay for lunch (same as our Praznyk lunch; $10/person and please bring dessert and/or fruit).
Lunch on Monday, September 14 after Liturgy - It's a day of strict fast...might be a potluck...more info forthcoming.
There are many more things happening during SingCon (rehearsals, workshops, etc.) but those are reserved for the registered participants of SingCon.

Велика Вечірня в суботу, 12 вересня, о 18:00 (не о 19:00, як зазвичай).
Обід в неділю, 13 вересня, після Літургії – запрошуємо вас залишитися на обід (як було на Празнику; $10 за особу і просимо принести солодке і/або фрукти).
Обід в понеділок 14 вересня після Літургії - день строгого посту...можливо буде обід Potluck ...більше інформації згодом.
Під час SingCon відбувається багато інших заходів (репетиції, семінари, тощо), але вони призначені лише для зареєстрованих учасників SingCon.
